Are you more concerned with security when you are home or away? If the answer is when away then you may not need status switches on your windows but just some motion detectors inside and contacts on your doors.
When you are more concerned with security when you are home you may want to consider status switches (contacts) on all doors and windows, motions inside, panic buttons to be worn or mounted, glass break sensors etc…
When your main concern is life safety then you may want to have Smoke Detectors, Carbon Monoxide detectors and gas detectors and when these go off and we cannot reach you we will dispatch the fire department. We can also install modules so you can connect them to lamps or curling irons to know if the switch is on or off. Another option is to tie locks into your security app so you can remotely let someone into your home.
