Recently we had a brainstorming session here at Peak Alarm and we discussed some of the things that the new Qolsys Security System can do and it’s benefits so here are some lists:

Top five additional items customers buy when buying a security system:

25% buy the doorbell camera that ties into the same app to answer your door via phone or your security panel

24% of customers also buy smart lightbulbs that allow the customer to have lights programmed to come on at certain times or to turn on when the system disarms or when someone walks through a motion so if you get up in the night the lights will turn on.

23% buy our smart thermostats so you can control your home temperature. Example when you disarm the security system can turn on the lights and raise or lower the temperature. This can help you save on your energy bills.

23% of customers purchase CO/Smokes to be added to their security system. Most homes have smoke detectors that sound to wake you up although when the smokes we install activate we dispatch the fire department.

22% of customers purchase network cameras which have analytics so you can see the cameras on the same app as your security system. You have the option to seeing just live view with limited clips for example for crossline detection when someone crosses a line you program into the camera or we can install a 2TB recorder to the system so you can have the cameras record to the recorder. You will need 5 mbps upload speed and have good WIFI at each camera location. The other option is for us to hardwire the cameras to a network video recorder.

Many of our customers buy the Garage door tie in so you can remotely close or open your garage door or just check to see if you left it open. This is a great peace of mind item that can be added to your system.

GPS gadget that goes on your car to tell you how fast that car is going, where it is and even gas usage and engine troubles in real time reported to your smart phone. This is great for Elderly Parents or Teenagers. This item can be put on a car that is anywhere and report to you through your security app.
