Notes on the nature of God

Man, a God in embryo?by Larry Love on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 1:47pm ·

"The kingdom of God is within you" Luke 17:20-21

"Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High" Psalms 82:6

"Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods?" John 10-34-36

Satan tempts Eve: "Ye shall be as gods" Genesis 3:5

The Lord confirms Satan's statement "Behold the man is become as one of us" Genesis 3:22

"We are the Children of God; and if children, then heirs; heirs of God , and joint heirs with Christ" Romans 8:14-18

"For we are also His offspring" Acts 17-:28-29

"Shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits and live? Hebrews 12:9

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect" Matthew 5:48

"As there be gods many and lords many" 1 Cor 8:5-6

"Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God" Philippians 2:5-6

"I ascend unto my Father, and your Father: and to my God and your God" John 20:17

"Then all the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father" Matthew 13:43

"But Jesus said also that God was his Father making himself equal with God" John 5:18-27

(Jesus) "Who is the image of the invisible God, the first born of every creature" Colossians 1:15-22

"He that believe on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my father" John 14:12

John 3:10-21 - The pattern of the Father sending his son down to do what he had already done is clear throughout the Bible. "do nothing of himself but what he seeth the father do" John 5:19

"For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me" John 6:38-40

"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven. " John 3:13

"I saw gods ascending out of the earth" 1 Samuel 28:7-18 (Verse 13)

"And Adam was not deceived; but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Nothwithstanding she shall be saved in child bearing if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety" 1 Timothy 2:13-15

"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

God created man for a purpose and obviously men sin and through the sacrifice and atonement of Jesus Christ men can be forgiven of their sins when they repent, accept Christ, are baptized and love the Lord "If ye love me keep my commandments" John 14:15

-

This is the good news or gospel(Truth) that we can be forgiven and live with God again, the God of our spirits as stated above. It is no mistake that we are created in God's image Gen 1:27 - How pointless would life be if there was no hope of becoming perfect as we have been commanded to be Matt 5:48? Once we become perfect what is next? Obviously I titled this "Man, a God in embryo" because this is a process not something that will happen overnight. We only have one God for this earth that we deal with and there was a God in training which was Jesus showing the example of Father and son relationship that will continue forever. Christ was made "Lord of Lords" and therefore passed his training. Rev 17:14 - Christ died for us that we may become perfect and we will never takes God's place nor his Glory and he is glorified as we attain what he has commanded us to do and become better even perfect. We then can assist God in the creation of worlds yet we will never take his place or his glory as Satan wanted to do.

Examples from the Bible are very clear that God the Father and Jesus Christ are two separate individuals they are the Father and the Son and obviously he would not be quoting himself or praying to himself. Early on we learn that he was the SON of God, he was in the temple at 12 doing the will of his Father, he was later baptized and the Father introduced him while he was in the water showing God was in heaven and he was on the earth, many times he referred to his father as being in heaven, Stephan saw Christ on the right hand of God the father, Christ always said he was here to do the will of his Father. He taught the doctrine of his Father, Christ was on the cross and his Father left him for a time and he asked why his Father had left him, after his resurrection Mary tried to embrace him and he told her not to hug him for he had not been to his Father yet. The doctrine of the trinity is very clear and made more clear in John 17 where Christ tells his Apostles that he wants them to be one with him as he is one with his Father, not all in one body but one in purpose. Doctrines of men have been introduced and many people forget the clear teachings of the Bible and begin to teach other doctrines.
