WIFI Camera system information

WFI CAMERA SYSTEMS

Peak Alarm installs WIFI cameras inside and outside your home or business.

1.       You will need at least 2.5mbps upload speed on your internet at the camera location for the cameras to function properly and view the remote camera and recording.

2.       Recently I went to a home that had internet but the UPLOAD speed was only point 2 which is far from what is needed so installing a WIFI camera in that home would not work until the internet was upgraded.

3.       We will also need power (an outlet with constant power) will need to be fairly close to the camera. If Peak has to install conduit from the outlet to the camera the cost of the camera will be a bit more.

4.       From 1 to 4 cameras it adds $10 per month to your bill to add WIFI cameras and you will be able to see the cameras from your Security app you use to arm and disarm.

5.       These cameras record up to 3000 clips and they are not easily searched so f you want to have a recorder we can install an SVR recorder which will allow you to store much more video. There is an $8 dollar per month cost to add the recorder as well as the cost of the recorder.

6.       Cameras typically come in units that can sit on a shelf or mount to the wall or ceiling and we have units that are weather resistant for outside installations.

7.       When you add a doorbell camera to your alarm system we do not charge any additional per month for the app as we do the cameras although when you have a full service extended warranty there will be a small increase in the monthly fee.

When hardwired camera systems can be installed where you have access to run wires we prefer

doing that. Here at Peak we have several options for cameras although since we have government contracts we cannot install systems such as Hikvision or Chinese cameras.
