My name is Larry Love and I am an employee of Peak Alarm so my personal opinions do not reflect the company views. although I personally have spoken with the owner and he is a very compationate person as is his family and this business has been protecting lives and property for over 51 years.
I have heard people say all lives matter and yes they do although currently the issues being brought up are longtime ongoing injustices and videos of police officers overstepping their bounds specifically with people of color.
I know many police officers and the good cops want to get rid of the bad cops. Having cameras installed and help keep everyone accountable including the public and the police.
I support the good honest police officers doing their jobs and they are often sacrificing their lives for us. Often they are threatened by drug addicts and people with mental illness and it is true that often they don’t act like everyone would agree they should act and this is due to lack of training, their own issues and the fact that we expect police officers to be professional counselors, law enforcement officers, traffic enforcement, babysitters, school arbitrators and much more.
Sometimes we expect more out of these men and women than we should for the amount of risk they take and the pay that they receive. The sad part about this is the property destruction, when damage like this done taxes and insurance rates will go up for everyone in order to compensate for what happened.
Unfortunately many of our police officers have been threatened and their families have also been threatened which is upsetting. These are the people we call when we are in trouble and they come to help. These men and women have been working through COVID which puts them at greater risk. They have a very hard job and I appreciate them.
In Salt Lake City, West Valley and some other areas of Greater Salt Lake the POLICE have a policy not to respond to alarm systems unless it is a panic button so Peak Alarm has standing guards and patrol guards that will respond. Peak has both armed and unarmed uniformed guards.
