Process for Fire Alarm permit submittals

For new construction or remodels the Fire Marshal needs to be notified and this is done by submitting for a fire alarm permit with plans and submittals.

  1. Battery calculations and voltage line drop calculations are also required.

  2. Datasheets on each piece of equipment are also required

  3. Once this package is submitted to the fire marshal often digital and sometimes 3 or 4 hard copies the fire marshal will send the package to a third party reviewer like PCI where they review it and make any corrections if something has been left out.

  4. This process can sometimes take several weeks so after Peak Alarm is done designing the CAD and we have turned it in the time table is out of our hands.

  5. After the plans are approved and stamped by the fire marshal we can then proceed to order equipment and schedule the project to be done.
