Elevator phone monitoring information

Elevator Phone Notes:

 

1.     Peak Alarm can monitor your elevator phone lines and we will provide an account number and a  phone number that your elevator company can use to program in the message. Each Elevator would cost $15 per month and a live Peak Alarm dispatcher will answer the line when someone is stuck in the elevator or has another emergency. Code requires each elevator to be monitored.

2.     Peak Alarm can also provide a cellular unit that will give the elevator phone a dial tone in case you want to get rid of your analog phone lines. This cost is $60 dollars per month per elevator. The installation cost is $350.00 with a 36 month agreement.

3.     Keep in mind that Peak Alarm has no control over the elevator phone so it has to have the ability to be programmed to dial our number and if the elevator company cannot change the programming it may be best for you to keep the analog phone line to it. Some elevator phones are very old and you may need to buy a new phone from your elevator company.

4.     After the Elevator company programs your Elevator , arrangements need to be made for them to test making sure your elevator is ringing into Peak Alarm’s central station.   

 

5.     Please advise the Elevator Company that they will need to have a recording programmed with the following:

 

6.     “This is a call for help from Account nameaccount addressElevator number (1, 2 etc), & Account #ELEV-##.”

 

7.     If this process is not followed correctly, your system may not be monitored properly.
