SUBJECT:  GE INTERLOGIX WENT OUT OF BUSSINESS IN 2019

This affected all their panels such as CONCORD 4, NX8 and other panels

What does this mean for those that have GE Interlogix security systems installed?

This means when your panel has an issue we cannot get replacement parts, in 2020 we could and then in 2021 you can only get parts on EBAY or AMAZON and there is not a warranty since these parts are no longer made.

We can replace the headend equipment and the keypads with DMP which is a well know reputable company. If you have wireless on your system it may need to be replaced.

If your system is smaller we can install a Qolsys system with takeover modules to takeover the hardwired zones and often the wireless zones although this panel will not integrate with home automation systems like others will.

When you have home automation connected to a GE INTERLOGIX panel you can have a DMP XR panel installed and have your AV company reprogram the CONTROL 4 or other system into the home automation software.

Unique to GE Interlogix is the ability to run a 3 wire keypad or data loop rather than a 4 wire loop and this means if the installation company did not install a 4 conductor wire for keypads and expanders than wire will need to be re-installed or we will need to install a wireless system with wireless keypads.
